Tolstoy and Star Wars

Tolstoy curated and wrote A Calendar of Wisdom between 1890-1905.

It was lost to most during the Soviet Regime.

It was re-published in Russia in 1995 and translated to English in 1997.

Despite some early references, the first organized celebration of Star Wars Day did not occur until 2011 in Toronto.

Tolstoy unrelatedly used the word “force” 4 times for May 4th and wrote himself, “Truth expressed in words is the greatest force there is in the lives of people. We do not understand this force completely, because its consequences are never seen at a precise once.”

This, to me, is not a coincidence. The Force is “an energy field created by all living things. It surrounds us and penetrates us; it binds the galaxy together…” May the Force be with You, today and always.
